Zhiyi Su received his B.E. degree and M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, in 2011 and 2013, respectively. He continued his education at Michigan State University, receiving his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2018. As a research assistant at Michigan State University, he has worked on several projects in design, modeling and optimization of electromagnetic systems in aerospace, automotive and bio-medical industries. In November 2018, Zhiyi joined Hitachi America, Ltd. as a research scientist at R&D division. His current research activities focus on connected electric vehicles, powertrain electrification, electric motor design, and optimization problems.
