INDUCTICA Berlin 2009 - Educational Conference

The International Conference for inductive and electromagnetic components, systems and devices including manufacturing and processing.

To be held in parallel with the Coil Winding and Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition (CWIEME Berlin 2009).

The 2009 Conference will be free to all visitors to the exhibition. No registration or fees will be required. This new, but simple, idea turned what was a mediocre attendance Conference into a vibrant, live and well attended Conference – even the last Technical Paper of Inductica 2008 (which is considered the dead man's shift had over 65 attendees).  Every comment solicited from the Conference Delegates was positive.

This will be an opportunity for Academics and Manufacturers (both exhibitors and non-exhibitors) to reach 4000 potential customers from over 90 countries to introduce new technologies and new manufacturing techniques.

Motivation

Inductive devices are often taken for granted - Coils are as old as electricity itself! However, in recent years there have been considerable advances, particularly in areas like superconductivity, micro-coils and new magnetic materials. Despite this, many manufacturing, testing and analysis methods remain little changed. This conference represents both new and old in this respect and our wish is to expand the conference in both directions.

Traditional topics of interest

Coil winding and inductive component manufacture

Transformer, motor and generator technology

Insulation and partial discharge testing

Newer topics of interest

New magnetic materials including magnetic fluids

Modeling and computer simulation

Miniature and micro coils

To Submit a Paper for Consideration

ABSTRACTS (about 200 words) should be sent to gareth.monkman@e-technik.fh-regensburg.de by February 28, 2009.

Language: English. Time: 30 (typically 20-25 for presentation, 5-10 for questions)

Completed papers for publication on CD Rom will be required by March 31, 2009

A 500.00 Euro refundable attendance deposit will be required from non-exhibiting manufacturers and first time speakers at a CWIEME event.

The Conference Chairman will be Dr. Gareth Monkman of the Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences) Regensburg, Germany
