Improvements in fully automatic winding processes for high voltage instrument transformers

For a long period of time primary coils of high voltage instrument transformers (pt) have been wound in single application.

With new developed winding machines it is possible to wind up to three coils simultaneously. The complete winding process is controlled by the CNC, manual interventions of the operator are not necessary.

Additionally it became more and more important, to assure the traceability in terms of QM.

The sophisticated technology of winding multiple coils as well as fully traceability of each single transformer inside the manufacturing process will be presented in this paper.
