Analytical Electrical Design of a Multi-Windings 27 kVA Transformer.

Modeling and Computer Simulation

Summary

This contribution deals with the calculation of short-circuit inductances for a multi-windings transformer. Each winding can result from the serial connection of several cylindrical coils. A Matlab program with a graphical interface helps the user defining all the coils present in the transformer, and then choosing those which belong to the primary or the secondary side. The calculation is performed through two different analytical methods, the first is a onedimensional - well adapted when concentric coils with the same length are considered, while the second uses two-dimensions allowing so the computation for any coils length and arrangement.
